Who we are
SearchTechLab SAS ("SearchTechLab," "we," "us") is the data controller for personal data collected through searchtechlab.com. Registered office: 5 All. des Myosotis, 86550 Mignaloux-Beauvoir, France. SIREN 932 486 517, RCS Poitiers 932 486 517. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR/RGPD) and French data-protection law.
What we collect
- Contact and enquiry data: name, work email, phone (if provided), company, and the message you send us through the contact form.
- Order and billing data: name, email, phone (optional), company, billing address, country, and VAT number (if you provide one) when you place an order through checkout.
- Engagement data: the site URL, target markets/languages, and analytics-access information you provide at checkout so we can begin the service you've ordered.
- Technical and analytics data: if you consent to analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 collects standard usage data (pages viewed, approximate location at country/region level, device type) with IP addresses anonymised. No analytics data is collected before you accept it — see the Cookie Policy.
We do not collect card or payment details: the checkout on this site is a demonstration flow, and no card data is transmitted, stored, or processed by us or by any payment provider.
Why we collect it
- To respond to enquiries submitted through the contact form (legal basis: your consent / our legitimate interest in responding to messages sent to us).
- To process and fulfil an order placed through checkout, including confirming it by email (legal basis: performance of a contract with you).
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations, including invoicing (legal basis: legal obligation).
- To understand how the site is used, only where you've consented to analytics cookies (legal basis: consent).
How long we keep it
Enquiry-form data is kept for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Order and invoicing data is kept for the statutory period required for French commercial and tax record-keeping (currently 10 years for accounting documents). Analytics data collected via Google Analytics 4 is retained per Google's configured retention period and is deleted or anonymised automatically after that period.
Who else sees it
We don't sell personal data, and we don't share it with third parties for their own marketing. Data may be seen by:
- Google Ireland Limited, as the processor for Google Analytics 4, only if you've consented to analytics cookies. Google's role and safeguards for this processing are described in Google's own privacy documentation.
- A payment service provider, if and when this site's checkout moves from its current demonstration flow to a live provider (planned: a hosted Stripe or equivalent checkout link). No payment provider currently receives any data through this site.
- Nobody else, unless required by law or to protect our legal rights.
Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request erasure; restrict or object to processing; request a portable copy of your data; and withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that happened before the withdrawal. To exercise any of these rights, email support@searchtechlab.com. We respond within one month, as required by law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data-protection authority, the CNIL (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés), at cnil.fr, if you believe your data has been mishandled.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data we hold, including access controls and secure transmission (HTTPS) across the site. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but we treat this obligation seriously and review our practices as the site evolves.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or our data practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes affecting how we use your data will be reflected here before they take effect.
